long-term health, independence, and
well-being of older adults.
Education in Action
With nearly 40 years of experience, Victoria Lifeline has become a trusted partner in healthcare and a valued resource for senior-serving organizations across Manitoba. At the heart of this work is our Education Team, who travel across the province each year to empower older adults and reach healthcare professionals with free presentations and in-services.
For older adults, our Healthy Living & Aging in Place sessions offer practical advice on staying active, eating well, preventing falls, and maintaining independence. Each attendee receives a take-home package filled with helpful resources to support aging in place/ When we hear that someone was inspired to make a change, it reminds us why this work matters.
Our educators also deliver targeted in-services to healthcare professionals, highlighting how Victoria Lifeline can support at-risk patients, especially those living alone or returning home from the hospital. Our team also participates in healthcare and community-based conferences, providing hands-on demonstrations of our equipment and sharing insights into our news, innovation service options.
Showing Up in the Community
Throughout the year, our team connected with communities across Manitoba through events, outreach, and partnership-building. From volunteering at the Manitoba 55+ Games to meeting with healthcare professionals and community leaders across the province, we strengthened relationships, shared resources, and increased awareness of services that help Manitobans live safely and independently. These connections continue to support stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
Teamwork in Action
At Victoria Lifeline, teamwork is more than a guiding principle, it is the foundation of how we serve communities across Manitoba. Through over 66 active partnerships with local, senior-serving organizations, we are able to provide in-person installation and servicing of Lifeline equipment in every region of the province. We’re also proud to partner with six First Nation communities in Manitoba, an important part of our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful relationships with Indigenous partners across the province.
Now in All Four Health Regions
In line with that commitment to equitable access, Victoria Lifeline is proud to now have active programs in all four regional health authorities in Manitoba. We are especially excited to welcome our newest partner in Thompson, in collaboration with the local senior resource council. This partnership marks an important step forward in ensuring northern Manitobans can also benefit from peace of mind and safety our service provides.
Our Small But Mighty Group!
Thank you to all our Volunteers and Staff! We look forward to another year of collaboration and inspiration!
Message from Victoria Lifeline
The past year at Victoria Lifeline has been shaped by connection, growth, and the power of working together. Guided by our commitment to safety, dignity, and independence, we’ve supported thousands of Manitobans and their families. From strengthening relationships with First Nation communities to expanding into Northern and rural Manitoba, our work continues to grow through shared purpose and strong partnerships. This progress is made possible through the dedication of our board, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Partnership remains at the heart of what we do. Through initiatives like our support of Siloam Mission’s Healthy Living Hub for older adults, our incredible partner programs across Manitoba, and ongoing engagement with community and business leaders, we are expanding access to compassionate care across the province. We are equally proud of how our team and volunteers show up beyond our program, supporting the Manitoba 55+ Games and building meaningful community connections through outreach and collaboration.
At the centre of it all are the people we serve. We are proud of what we have achieved together and energized
by the opportunities ahead.
