Bob, one of our long-standing clients, generously offered to share how much Victoria Lifeline has meant to him over the years. As a user of our Mobile On the Go service – which works both inside and outside the home – Bob values the freedom and reassurance it provides.
“Anybody who lives on their own should have this kind of protection. The service is invaluable! You can’t buy that kind of insurance anywhere else — that is why I’m a great proponent of Victoria Lifeline.”

At Victoria Lifeline, we run on the passion, dedication, and generosity of our incredible volunteers. Prairie Rose Apartments: Portable Wheelchair

This small project made a big difference for residents and their caregivers by making transporting loved ones to and from appointments easier and safer.
Education in Action
With nearly 40 years of experience, Victoria Lifeline has become a trusted partner in healthcare and a valued resource for senior-serving organizations across Manitoba. At the heart of this work is our Education Team, who travel across the province each year to empower older adults and reach healthcare professionals with free presentations and in-services.
For older adults, our Healthy Living & Aging in Place sessions offer practical advice on staying active, eating well, preventing falls, and maintaining independence. Each attendee receives a take-home package filled with helpful resources to support aging in place/ When we hear that someone was inspired to make a change, it reminds us why this work matters.
Our educators also deliver targeted in-services to healthcare professionals, highlighting how Victoria Lifeline can support at-risk patients, especially those living alone or returning home from the hospital. Our team also participates in healthcare and community-based conferences, providing hands-on demonstrations of our equipment and sharing insights into our news, innovation service options.
Connected Care
A Lifeline for At-Risk Individuals
“I feel so protected when I’m wearing it — it’s made a big difference in my life. I’m on a pension and money is very tight, so I feel so lucky that I got it for free!”
Victoria Lifeline was proud to be part of the collaborative effort with Victoria Hospital Foundation and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority community areas of Fort Garry/River Heights and Seven Oaks/Inkster to develop the Connected Care Program, supporting individuals at high risk of falls. Through this initiative, homecare case coordinators identified clients who would benefit from additional safety support, and Victoria Lifeline was provided at no cost for one year. Victoria Hospital Foundation generously covered both activation and ongoing monitoring, ensuring that vulnerable clients could access this potentially life-saving service regardless of income. For many, Victoria Lifeline can be the difference between living independently and long-term care. This program has enabled almost 200 Manitobans to remain safe and confident in their own homes, while also supporting their overall health and well-being.

Teamwork in Action
At Victoria Lifeline, teamwork is more than a guiding principle, it is the foundation of how we serve communities across Manitoba. Through over 66 active partnerships with local, senior-serving organizations, we are able to provide in-person installation and servicing of Lifeline equipment in every region of the province. We’re also proud to partner with six First Nation communities in Manitoba, an important part of our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful relationships with Indigenous partners across the province.
Now in All Four Health Regions
In line with that commitment to equitable access, Victoria Lifeline is proud to now have active programs in all four regional health authorities in Manitoba. We are especially excited to welcome our newest partner in Thompson, in collaboration with the local senior resource council. This partnership marks an important step forward in ensuring northern Manitobans can also benefit from peace of mind and safety our service provides.
Our Small But Mighty Group!
Thank you to all our Volunteers and Staff! We look forward to another year of collaboration and inspiration!
Message from Victoria Lifeline
This year, we are incredibly proud of what our staff, volunteers, and partners across the province have accomplished. Grounded in our guiding principles, everything we achieved reflects our continued commitment to care, community and above all, our clients. Innovation was at the forefront as we introduced new groundbreaking services designed to meet the evolving needs of our clients. While the desire to age in place remains strong, the type of support required varies greatly. Our mission is to provide personalized service plans that empower each client to live independently and safely on their own terms.
These new initiatives allowed us to expand our reach and impact across Manitoba, ensuring more people could access the support they need and lead healthier lives.
